My July Net Worth Update
It’s summer, baby, and I’m unemployed! I got laid off last week and while that sucks I’m on to bigger and better things like this net worth update.
This month my net worth went up by $1,778 bringing my overall net worth to -$10,624. I’m 10k away from being net worth positive and I’ll be damned if I don’t beg, borrow, and steal to get there by the end of 2020.
JK here are the actual steps I’m taking to get there:
Side Hustles - all my side hustle income is going directly towards my student loan with the highest interest rate. I have 3k left on it so I’m estimating it will take 3 more months to pay it off
Meal planning - my fiancee and I have been meal planning six dinners each week. This has saved me a ton of money so far. As long as I keep eating at home I’ll be good!
No Starbucks - OKAY, so I don’t want to say “no” to Starbucks but lately I’ve been saying “not today, Satan.” I actually didn’t visit Starbucks once this week and if you know me you know that’s a FEAT. I spend roughly $100 there a month, so if I can avoid that for the rest of 2020, I’ll save a cool $600.
As of next week I’ll be on my artist sabbatical aka unemployment, so don’t go away, cause this gal’s got a date with Uncle Sam.
Talk soon!
