Does managing your money make you feel overwhelmed as fuck? If you were anything like me two years ago, the answer would have a resounding YES.

But managing your money doesn’t have to be complicated! As long as you have the right financial tools, you can save money and build wealth. These five finance apps will have you as pumped about saving money as you are about spending money.

Track Your Budget Using Mint

Mint makes viewing and tracking your budget as simple as possible. After you connect your bank accounts, you can begin setting up your budget.

The best part about Mint is that it helps you track your budget visually. You can see how much you left in each category at a glance. Mint is also free to use, making it an especially great tool if you’re new to budgeting.

Create Sinking Funds With Empower

Sinking funds make saving for upcoming expenses easy. I use the app Empower to budget and to save for my short-term goals like travel and the holidays.

You can choose from several different savings rules that break down your goals into weekly automated deposits. Get started saving with Empower!

Get The Rakuten App For Cash Back

Rakuten works with retailers to give you a certain amount of cashback on your purchases. When you use the Rakuten app and Chrome extension, you can get significant savings on items you were already gonna buy.

The Rakuten extension for Chrome is so easy to use,  Most recently helped me get 2.5% back on a bridesmaid dress I had to buy. Install Rakuten before your next online purchase, and thank me later.

For Coupon Codes, Take Advantage of Honey

Rakuten is to cashback what Honey is to coupons. While I’m no extreme couponer, I like to make sure I’m getting the best deal possible. Honey makes sure I do just that. Honey is my favorite Chrome extension and works to find coupons for all your internet purchases. It also rewards you points that you can use toward a gift card once you reach a certain threshold.

As if those perks weren’t enough. Honey also has a unique Amazon integration called Droplist. When you’re looking at a given Amazon item, Honey will pop up and tell you if you’re getting the best deal possible based on that item’s sales history. If not, you can add the item to your droplist so that you receive a notification when the price drops.

Start Investing With The Public App

I swore up and down that I would never buy individual stocks and become one of those people obsessed with checking their Tesla stock. But then I downloaded Public.com.

Public.com is a brokerage that doubles as a social media platform -- think Twitter for finance. You can follow business icons like Scott Galloway and personal finance bloggers like me to see the stocks they’re adding to their portfolios and why. If you’re interested in understanding why people make investment choices, then you need Public! Use my link to join and get $15 in free stock
