The Betrothed

The Betrothed is a farcical comedy of manners set in the late nineteenth century. Featuring a lively all-female ensemble, The Betrothed reshapes Victorian parlor comedies into a sapphic and satirical exploration of gender roles and desires.

The Betrothed was developed at Flatbush Community Theater’s New Works Series in October 2023 and received a workshop production as part of The Tank Presents in November 2024. The cast and creative team was as follows:
